Alfalfa Field - Planting & one month later

Aunt Terry, Uncle Ronald, Dad and Mom all working to "sow the seeds". 1/8 acre Alfalfa test plot.
Red Mylar flash tape works great keeping the birds away. A month later the alfalfa is 6 inches tall. We had over watered the field for 3 weeks. 4X a day for 30 minutes each time. Now we have cut back to once a day for 30 minutes. It helps that it is winter: cooler with the occasional rain shower. We have started weeding the field but only from the side as the plants are still too fragile to withstand walking on them.
